Hiya Laura. Yes that does work you may absorb a few cals from the flavouring etc and natural swallowing we do whilst eating but the majority should be getting rid of. You might want to try sucking the flavouring off Doritoes (this is quite popular) and then discarding the actual crisp. Its quite nice and you feel like your being slightly naughty so it stops a proper binge as you feel like 'I've already ate this bad food so no more'. Hope this helps,
